I've Been Waiting For This!

I've been waiting for this! A company called Blog2Print will allow you download your blog and create a book. They have very reasonable prices and free shipping. There is also a nice cover selection. The only thing stopping me was the fact that if you had placed pictures in your blog and text under the pictures the site did not separate the text and pictures on a page. It looked like this:
But this morning I received an e-mail announcing that now they offer a choice called snapshot which is exactly what I wanted to do. It looks like this:
It takes more space, but your pictures and text remain together! And not only can you choose this option you can get a discount! I love you Blog2Print!

There's the info:

Where is spring?

I know it doesn't look much like spring outside the windows today, but here's a great idea I received in an e-mail from the girls at Gooseberry Patch! Check out their blog.
Looking for a centerpiece to go with a picnic or garden-fresh meal? Slice a watermelon in half and use half as a vase...don't even bother to hollow it out! Simply tuck flower stems right in the melon, and the water inside will help keep them vibrant.

I Wish You Enough

_140_245_Book_128_cover What do you wish for? Are you always wishing for more? In this gift book, I Wish You Enough, Bob Parks has seven wishes for his readers. Based on a family’s tradition of saying goodbye by saying, “I wish you enough,”the author takes each part of the poem they recite to each other and adds inspirational stories of his own to each wish. The seven wishes are enough sun, rain, happiness, pain, gain, loss and hellos. Each section also contains a stunning photo and a related bible verses. The book has 121 pages and is suitable for anyone. It would make a great gift for graduations or any other occasions. There is also a page that can be personalized. This book reminds us to be grateful and satisfied with what we have and to appreciate the important moments in life.

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com;http://BookSneeze.com; book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255

Stuff I Don’t NEED, but want

I know the difference in wants and needs and believe me I have more than I need, but here’s a little wish list I created while surfing the web! Snow days cause you to do these things.

What do you think, see anything you NEED?

This jewelry is me, my camera is on my shoulder and I carry one in my purse. I have so many photos I don’t know what I have!

The iPad from Apple

Watch the video, you will want one too. They start at $499 and go up. One new application they will have is iBooks. It will be part of iTunes and you can order a book and get it instantly. I haven’t wanted an e-book reader because I want to hold the “real” book, but the iPad is so light and slim I think I could enjoy reading on it. The battery life is supposed to be 10 hours, another plus for the Ipad!

Confession

My good friends Misty and Patti are farmers. They grow crops and have livestock and poultry! They will tell you that it takes a long time to gather the eggs. Here's the thing, their farms are virtual. They play Farmville and last week I was laughing at them when they had a conversation about their harvesting. I wasn't laughing behind their backs, I was making fun of them right to their face! They have tried to get me join them on Facebook, but I have resisted...so far. Both of them freely admitted to being slightly addicted.

Then, later in the day when I was looking for some apps to download to my ipod, I came across one called Tap Farm. Since it was free I put it on. Next thing I knew I had 24 patches of ground and was harvesting tomatoes, strawberries and wheat! I wanted chickens and cows. And I don't even like chickens. I don't know what happened. I can't remember where I am going, but I don't forget that it is time to harvest my crops. I was very excited this morning to reach a level that allowed me to plant grapes.

Maybe it's payback for making fun of my friends. Last night I even had a dream that I owned mules and was teaching them to plow! This dream was surely the result of all my virtual farming. So, what do you think, should I give in and join them? You can let me know what you think, but right now I have some strawberries to pick!
